Summer Solstice
An illustrated autobiography with 20 spreads of stories and pieces of my life displayed through text and artwork. It uses ‘Mirinae’ for all of its titles which is a typeface I created.

Is this love
An experiment with the constraints of a ‘book’ and how to retain it’s essence in a new structure and format.
The brief was to give the readers the experience of an anecdoche (n. a conversation in which everyone is talking but nobody is listening). To achieve this I created a book structure with 2 overlapping parts of a story which when read together seem disconnected and form a sense of confusion for the reader, but when read separately tell the entire story.
An anecdoche is usually a conversation between two people however we often have these conversations with ourselves too. A topic that often induces such conversations is love. When in love people constantly have multiple thoughts on their minds, some start to even questions their sanity. This illustrated book shows the anecdoche between a character and a personified version of the voice inside her head/ face in the mirror.
